The Youth Chakma Christian Association (YCCA) celebrated its 10th anniversary through a three-day program titled Chakma Youth Gospel Festival 2025 in Khagrachari.

The event was held at Tetultola Fogdang Baptist Church in Khagrachari town from December 30, 2025, to January 1, 2026. Chakma Christian youth from different areas of the Chittagong Hill Tracts took part in the celebration.

Organizers said the festival marked a decade of youth-led Christian fellowship and community building among Chakma Indigenous youth. They described the event as both a spiritual gathering and a platform for unity and leadership development.

The program included worship and praise, Bible discussions, cultural performances, games, and friendly competitions. Over the three days, the church grounds became a meeting place for young people to connect through faith, culture, and shared identity.

This year’s festival theme focused on being “rooted in Christ, built in faith, and overflowing in gratitude,” reflecting the message highlighted throughout the sessions and activities.

The program was chaired by YCCA President Jagat Jyoti Chakma and conducted by advisor Atmarup Chakma.

YCCA founder-president, Pastor Bodhipriya Chakma Mongal, and former president, Pastor Jewel Chakma, were also present.

Pastor Sunil Baran Chakma attended as the chief guest. Special guests included Pastor Samir Chakma, Pastor Bijoy Bikash Chakma, Pastor Samiran Chakma, Pastor Rico Chakma, and Pastor Nila Pada Chakma, along with other Christian leaders.

Speakers highlighted the importance of faith-based leadership, moral responsibility, and unity among Indigenous youth. They encouraged young people to remain connected to their faith while contributing positively to their communities.

At the closing session, a new executive committee was announced for the next three years.

Tuku Chakma was elected as President, Rupesh Chakma as General Secretary, and Niton Chakma as Organizing Secretary.

Organizers said the new committee will focus on expanding youth programs, leadership training, and faith-based activities across the hill districts.
