Bangladesh, Bandarban | January 22, 2026: Election campaigning began in the Bandarban-300 constituency on Thursday, January 22, 2026, ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election. From that morning, four candidates started campaign activities across the district, including remote hill areas.
The candidates currently active in the race are:
- Saching Pru Jeri — Bangladesh Nationalist Party
Symbol: Sheaf of Paddy - Abu Saeed Md. Sujauddin — National Citizen Party
Symbol: Shapla Kali - Abu Zafar Md. Wali Ullah — Jatiya Party (Kader)
Symbol: Plough - Maulana Md. Abul Kalam Azad — Islami Andolon Bangladesh
Symbol: Hand Fan
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abul Kalam withdrew his nomination following a central party decision. As a result, Jamaat has extended its support to NCP candidate Abu Saeed Md. Sujauddin in the Bandarban-300 seat.
According to the district election office, Bandarban-300 has 186 polling centers, of which 34 have been identified as risky. The constituency has a total of 315,422 registered voters.
Campaign activities are expected to intensify in the coming days ahead of the February 12 polls.
